Quantico Base Library Databases
The HQMC/MCCS Library program subscribes to a variety of databases to assist MCCS Library patrons in locating current and historical articles, journals and other Internet resources for homework and personal or professional research.

ACCESS INFORMATION AND DEFINITIONS
What does “Onsite Use” mean?
“Onsite Use” or “Onsite Access” means this all patrons can access this resource from a library computer while inside the Library. Typically (but not always) onsite use does not require a Log-in ID/password or other sign in method for access.
What is "Remote Access"?
“Remote Access” or “Offsite Access” means any access from “outside” our library building - your home or work, for example. “Offsite” also includes using the MCCS WiFi connection, as this is considered an “outside” connection. For offsite access, one or more of the following is required: a Log-in ID/password, library barcode number, or create your own account. In the case of NKO, a CAC is also required. Some sites may require proof of eligibility of military service/employment.
"Remote access" links provided here are limited to Library of the Marine Corps patrons (i.e., Quantico Base Library and USMC Research Library) and MCCS Library patrons. The general public cannot access these resources. Quantico patrons should contact the Quantico Base Library (703) 784-4348. MCCS library patrons stationed at other bases should contact their Base Library for more information.
What does "Free/no access restrictions" mean?
"Free/no acess restrictions" means the website/resource is freely accessible to anyone.
How Does Remote Access Affect Me?
Library of the Marine Corps patrons and MCCS Library patrons will need a Log-in ID/password or other sign-in method to access these databases from home, work, or mobile/laptop devices. Please contact the Quantico Base Library at (703) 784-4348 for current Log-in IDs/passwords and sign-in instructions. Please do not share Log-in IDs/passwords with non-eligible people.
Why is Remote Access Not Working?
You are not authorized for access. Make sure you are trying to access a Quantico Base Library/MCCS-provided database, and have a current account with Quantico or another MCCS installation Library.
Some Databases may “lock out” after too many incorrect login attempts. Please make sure you are using current Log-in IDs/passwords. And please contact us and let us know you're locked out! During working hours, we can reset the connection.
Other reasons. Your computer's firewall, anti-virus software, internet service provider or connection may be blocking access. We are unable to provide any technical support for these issues.
