Commandant's Professional Reading List

The Marine Corps Commandant's Professional Reading List (also known as the Marine Corps Reading List) is a list of required annual reading for all officer and enlisted Marines, whether active duty or reserve.

The Commandant's guidance and additional information can be found in ALMAR 001/13 dated 2 JAN 2013.

    On 1 AUG 2014, Gen. Amos signed an updated and revised Leading Marines (MWCP 6-11). As a "CMC Choice" selection, ALL MARINES are tasked to read this book, as "leading Marines is the most important responsibility in our Corps, and thus we must educate the heart and mind to prevail on the battlefield and in the barracks, in war and in peace."
