About Nine Innings
Exercise NINE INNINGS
Welcome to the GRC website for Marine Corps University Exercise NINE INNINGS.
This site provides unclassified, non-FOUO resources and research support for Marine Corps University's Exercise NINE INNINGS: Southeast Asia. It supplements the information found in the Course Card, the MCU Nine Innings GAfG site and MCU Blackboard site.
Exercise NINE INNINGS is the Command and Staff College capstone planning exercise requiring students to think critically about complex problems that requires an integrated approach of all instruments of national power. Exercise NINE INNINGS represents the challenging final element of the "crawl, walk, run" approach to the AY 2016-17 CSC exercise regimen.
Exercise NINE INNINGS receives support from a range of U.S. government agencies and non-governmental organizations. Partnering and interacting with these diverse organizations allows the College more flexibility to leverage interagency partners and address real world issues outside of the seminar room.
It is a "living exercise" based on the current situation and ongoing events in the USPACOM sub-region of Southeast Asia. Therefore, the primary goal of Exercise NINE INNINGS is designed to push military members to plan beyond the military element of national power learning to integrate capabilities within government and non-governmental organizations to address and mitigate conflict.
